Grade II listed external refurbishment in Chichester

Grade II listed veranda refurbishment completed at Aldingbourne House near Crockerhill in Chichester. The grade II listed Edwardian manor, which has since been converted in 22 apartments, is a well known landmark in the local area.

The veranda flanks the south facing elevation and was in a state of disrepair due to extensive storm damage. C&G were called in by the estate’s management committee to fully refurbish the veranda and bring it back up to its’ original splendour.

Refurbishment works undertaken included:

  • Installation of specialist glazing to the entire first floor canopy
  • Replacing leadwork dressings
  • Installing missing spandrels to the metalwork frame
  • Matching in isolated areas of brickwork
  • Full redecoration of the framework and flooring

C&G Building Contractors were called in to rescue a large Grade II listed building project in 2014. Their efficiency and expertise in organising and managing the works was excellent. The completed project was finished in the timescales set and to a standard we were delighted with, restoring the Grade11 listed building to its former glory.

We would highly recommend C&G Building Contractors to anyone looking for a professional team to manage and deliver to a very high standard.
